What We Do

We work with Executive and Senior Leadership Teams who want to use coaching for the professional development, wellbeing and personal growth of their teaching staff.  Our aim is for coaching to develop excellence in leadership which will in turn increase student engagement and therefore improve positive outcomes and enable students to reach their full potential.

We serve schools that are committed to working with us to ensure coaching is sustainably embedded into the culture of the school and will bring about long lasting, positive changes. When staff are feeling overworked, overwhelmed and undermotivated, coaching can bring about a shift and positive change where teachers feel listened to, trusted and motivated to take hold of their own personal growth and development. This will impact positively on every student and parent they come into contact with.

Our Programmes

Hello

Jo Wheeler

I am a PCC level ICF accredited coach with 13 years of coaching experience.  My career began in an educational setting,  coaching  marginalised 16–24 year olds with high barriers to change, to enter and sustain employment in London. I also had the privilege of delivering personal development coaching programmes in HMP Wandsworth,  coaching men facing release.

Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to deliver leadership training and development programmes that use coaching to help teams build trust, navigate conflict and communicate more effectively in order to bring about change in their organisational culture.  My experience is hugely varied, coaching teams in financial services, retail and the NHS.

I am passionate about equipping teachers with the life-changing skill of coaching, transforming their everyday work life and inspiring the next generation to reach their full potential.

Hello

Susanna Beck

I am an ICF accredited coach (PCC level) with over 2,000 hours of coaching experience with individuals and groups. I started out teaching secondary level children in the US, encountering many of the same challenges as teachers here in the UK. I moved onto coaching groups of marginalised young people with high barriers to change to enter and sustain employment, and then entire businesses to improve organisational culture.

My own experience has demonstrated that a coaching approach is as effective at bringing about whole-person flourishing for a young person freshly released from prison as it is for a wealthy CEO with 40 years of 'success' in business.

Coaching gets at the core of who we are, helps us define what we want and demands we take responsibility for how we relate to each other in the process of getting there. Seeing coaching permeate the educational setting is a particular passion of mine and I cannot think of a better way for teachers to increase their impact and facilitate transformation for all their students.

What Our Clients Say

Jo Cole, Director of Teaching and Learning

"The Coaching Programme gave our lead practitioners a fresh vision for their own development and confidence to enable and empower their teams. A dynamic, interactive programme that has given the team new tools to call upon in all areas of work and life."

Mark Simmons, Head of Year Twelve

“I went into coaching with an open mind and an idea of a goal but quickly realised, with the expert help of the coach, that my goal was much bigger. I thought I needed to work on how I planned my lessons but it turned out that it was more about managing my workload. I wouldn't have figured this out without coaching."

Carol Young, Assistant Head

“Hands down the best CPD I've had access to in years."

Jane Knowle, Lead Practitioner

"I have had some coaching before in other school settings but this was very different. Jo's coaching method felt authentic and the conversation flowed. I got a lot more out of it than other coaching cycles I've been through."

Hannah Sharp, Head of Year Eleven

“It felt amazing to really be listened to. I ended up coming out with things that I had never consciously articulated. Coaching is a great way of allowing you to do that. I couldn't recommend it more highly."

Lauren Smith, Lead Practitioner

"I enjoyed the hands-on approach, discussing issues we may have and then role-playing them, with feedback from the coaches.

Jo is a fantastic workshop leader, her delivery was fast paced but really informative and has given me so much to think about."
